“I have been installing both Estes AWS and competitor cargo barriers in emergency vehicles since 2015 – mostly in the Ford Interceptor Utility and Dodge Durango. I am particularly fond of the AWS cargo barriers due to the ease of installation. You do not have to cut on interior trim or drill and cut on the inner body frame. You also don’t have to cut any weather stripping around the back doors to install. There are literally four bolts and lock washers that screw into four thread certs on the back of the locker. It is very sturdy—preventing any cargo from coming forward into the passengers’ seats in the event of a rear-end collision. The instructions are very straightforward and easy to follow. The company is very helpful on any technical questions as well.”
